Audi news

Audi made its entrance onto the F1 grid in 2026 after taking over the Sauber/Stake team at the end of the 2025 season. It was a difficult start for the German road car giant with team principal Jonathan Wheatley leaving just two races into the new season, leaving former Ferrari man Mattia Binotto to take over his role for now. Experienced German Nico Hulkenberg and Brazilian prodigy Gabriel Bortoleto handle the driving duties in 2026.
