British F1 driver George Russell (born February 15, 1998 in King's Lynn, Norfolk) is one of the favourites to claim a first world title in 2026. The Mercedes star has become the team leader for the Silver Arrows after the departure to Ferrari of Lewis Hamilton. Now though he does face tough internal competition from Italian phenom Kimi Antonelli. Russell, who lives in Monaco with partner Carmen Mundt, got his first F1 race seat with Williams but made the full-time move to Mercedes in 2022.
