Het hoge woord is er dan eindelijk uit. Naar weken van speculatie en complimentjes uitdelen heeft Red Bull het contract van Sergio Perez verlengd. De Mexicaan zal tot eind 2024 coureur blijven bij zijn huidige team.

Max Verstappen weet daardoor wie hij de komende seizoenen als teamgenoot gaat hebben bij Red Bull. Niet alleen Perez, Christian Horner, Verstappen en de rest van het team bij Red Bull zijn blij met het nieuwe contract van de Mexicaan. Ook de F1-fans zien het nieuwe contract van Perez als loon na werken.

Toch gaat het na de contractverlenging van Perez ook veel over Pierre Gasly, die nu weet dat hij een stoeltje bij Red Bull voorlopig kan vergeten. Blijft hij ook in 2023 bij AlphaTauri, of krijgt hij een andere kans? Hieronder een paar van de reacties.
