About Chris Deeley

Chris Deeley is a motorsport journalist, writer and editor specialising in F1, covering the sport through news, race reports, analysis and off-the-wall features. Chris began his journalism career in football, joining 90min (then FTBpro) in 2013. He became an editor at 90min in 2016, gaining Premier League and FIFA accreditation, and covering the biggest games in the sport before becoming FanSided's Soccer Editorial Director in 2021. A long-time motorsport fan, Chris moved to GPFans in 2023 to begin writing about F1, and helped found the website's US edition (which later became Oval Insider), leading to him extensively covering NASCAR and other top level stock car racing across the Cup, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Truck Series. Chris' focus is now entirely back on F1.
