About Sam Cook

Sam Cook is a talented young sports journalist and social media professional who now specialises in Formula 1. Sam is a huge F1 fan and his earliest memories of the sport include the fantastic battles between Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso during the latter stages of Schumacher's Ferrari days. Outside of work, Sam is a keen runner and regularly competes in 5k and 10k racing events, and has also recently completed his first half marathon.

Sam is a multi-skilled media professional, with expertise in writing long-form news articles, as well as creating high-quality digital assets and short-form video content for social media, working with a variety of different brands across his professional career.

Experience in the Field

Having worked for a variety of different publications and brands including Vavel and Salford Now on a volunteer basis after graduating from the University of Salford with a first class honours degree in Broadcast Journalism, Sam went down a social media route, working for Manchester City and Manchester Utd producing sports content.

In 2023, Sam decided to make the switch back to journalism, where he has since excelled in writing motorsport articles and becoming part of the GPFans team!
