Motorfabrikant Honda laat een groot gat achter bij Red Bull als het straks in 2021 de deur in de F1 achter zich dicht trekt.

Honda vertrekt na het seizoen van 2021 als motorfabrikant uit de Formule 1. Dit nieuws kwam voor Red Bull Racing en AlphaTauri als een donderslag bij heldere hemel. Ook Formule 1-fans zagen deze klap niet aankomen, zo blijkt uit de reacties op het internet. "Dit geeft Red Bull twee jaar om BMW te overtuigen om een motor voor ze te bouwen", zo wordt er geschreven.

Renault is obliged to supply engine to red bull and also red bull can't leave the sports until 2025

This just shows what a bloody disaster the turbo hybrid era has been. Totally dominated by Mercedes, so expensive manufacturers won’t join the sport out of a fear they can’t develop to the need level 🤦‍♂️. It just seems like a slow death to the sport you love.

Ok that's the end of f1. What a bummer. Just bring back simple engines. Compensate co2 via other way eg trees. These complex engines are way too expensive. Nobody likes them anyhow.

As usual @HondaRacingF1 can't be trusted, they did they same to @JensonButton in 2008 then killed @McLarenF1 chances. A company that can't build good engines or keep to its commitments! Them going is good for @F1, I hope they stay away for good.

Well Renault isnt an option, Mercedes will
never give the latest updates, Ferrari not good enough and wont give the latest updates. Career @Max33Verstappen on hold and @redbullracing done, only can make the difference with the car. But isnt enough, nowadays motor PU is important.
