Vandaag is de grote dag: Fernando Alonso kan voor het eerst in zijn LMP1-auto van Toyota het befaamde Circuit de la Sarthe bedwingen, in voorbereiding op de 24 uur van Le Mans. De Spanjaard kruipt over twee weken achter het stuur voor het echte werk, maar kan vandaag bij de testdag alvast meemaken hoe het is om met de auto over het circuit te rijden. "Ik kan niet wachten om in de auto te stappen," aldus een dolenthousiaste Alonso.
