F1-fans zien illegale achtervleugel McLaren: "Zelfs mijn hond snapt dit"

De achtervleugel van McLaren roept ontzettend veel vragen op op social media. veel Formule 1-fans zijn van mening dat de Britse formatie zogenaamde en verboden flexi wings op de auto heeft zitten. Flexi wings buigen dusdanig mee door de luchtstroom op het rechte stuk, dat er een hogere snelheid behaald kan worden. De FIA oordeelde eerder dit seizoen al dat dit niet het geval is, maar daar denken veel social media-gebruikers anders over.

They all have flexible wings. They’ve flexed for years especially after the ‘ elements design’. Maybe they’ve found a way for the wing element to flex backwards more under a specific wind load? But I bet they’re not the first.

It’s innovative and within the rules, what F1 is all about. Just one of those things where if your team had done it you’d be fine with it but they didn’t so it’s “illegal”
