Haas rack up miles as Mercedes recover: pre-season day two numbers
Formula 1 pre-season testing continued in Bahrain as Mercedes and Valtteri Bottas made up for lost time by returning to the top of the timesheet.
Red Bull again racked-up mileage ahead of the new season, despite Sergio Perez's engine cover spectacularly disintegrating down the start-finish straight at the Bahrain International Circuit in the afternoon.
Aston Martin recovered from a gearbox issue that reduced Sebastian Vettel's time in the car to just 10 laps to go third quickest with Lance Stroll, whilst Fernando Alonso marked his return to F1 with a metronomic performance for Alpine.
But it was Haas who completed the highest number of laps as rookies Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher shared driving duties.
Overall, where has the second day of running left the drivers and teams in terms of accumulated mileage? GPFans has done the maths...
