Rosberg slams Vettel: He's the same as last year!

Another battle, another spin!

Nico Rosberg slammed Sebastian Vettel for repeating his error-prone ways of 2018 in dropping points at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Vettel spun out of a battle with Lewis Hamilton for second place in Sakhir, before shedding his front wing and ultimately finishing fifth.

A victory might have been on the cards for Vettel had he kept hold of P2, as team-mate Charles Leclerc was robbed of a likely victory by a turbo failure.

Having gone backwards at the Australian Grand Prix, Vettel has failed to make good of Ferrari's pre-season pace and anticipated dominance.

And 2016 champion Rosberg says Leclerc's performance across the Bahrain weekend shows Vettel must change his ways.

Rosberg said on Sky Sports' coverage: "I can't believe that we've seen exactly the same Sebastian Vettel today as we've seen throughout the past year.

"First of all the team messes up the strategy and he gets angry, then come the race day, one wheel-to-wheel battle and he spins it away completely on his own and loses the full weekend.

"He needs to find a way out of that now.

"Not only did he ruin his own race, but he has a team-mate who been delivering unbelievably well all weekend and was so damn strong, and we should all expect it to continue like that.

"So Sebastian still has a battle on his hands."
