Hamilton Verstappen Abu Dhabi reunion as Red Bull top Lotus - Canadian GP stats and facts
All the best stats and facts from the Canadian Grand Prix
Max Verstappen took a thrilling victory at the Canadian Grand Prix to extend his championship lead after fending off a late charge from Carlos Sainz.
The Dutchman now leads the drivers' standings by 46 points after team-mate Sergio Perez retired in Montreal.
As ever, GPFans brings you the best stats and facts from the grand prix weekend!
Hamilton and Verstappen reunited

Verstappen shared the podium with Lewis Hamilton for the first time since last year’s controversial title decider in Abu Dhabi.
The podium is only Hamilton's second of the season after he also finished third at the Bahrain season-opener, a race in which Verstappen retired.
In the Mercedes intra-team battle, George Russell was beaten by his team-mate for only the second time this year.
Red Bull top Lotus as Verstappen podium streak continues
Red Bull has displaced Lotus to become the fifth-most successful team in Formula 1 with 82 wins. Only Williams, Mercedes, McLaren and Ferrari have accumulated more.
The race was the 11th time Verstappen has converted pole position on Saturday to a victory on Sunday.
The Dutchman has stood on the podium in every race he has finished since Belgium 2021.
Red Bull's street superiority
Red Bull has now won six races in a row. The team's best streak is nine, a feat achieved in 2013 with Sebastian Vettel.
It was also their first triumph in Canada since 2014, Daniel Ricciardo’s maiden victory in Formula 1.
Red Bull has won seven of the nine street races since 2021. They currently lead the Constructors’ standings with a 76-point advantage over Ferrari.
Another Sainz near-miss
Sainz has 11 podiums in the sport but is yet to win a grand prix. Only Nick Heidfeld and Stefan Johansson have more top-three appearances in Formula 1 without a race win.
But it's not all bad news. With just nine races completed, Sainz has already recorded five podiums - his best haul in a year and the best by a Spanish driver since Fernando Alonso in 2013.
Russell 'Mr Consistent'
Russell continued his streak of finishing in the top five of every race this season by taking the chequered flag in fourth.
He is also the only driver to have scored at each race this year.
Alonso's back to the front
Alonso's stellar qualifying performance earned him his first front-row start since the 2012 German Grand Prix.
Despite falling to ninth with mechanical gremlins and a post-race penalty for weaving, Alonso recorded his first points finish in Canada since 2014.
AlphaTauri and McLaren empty-handed again

It’s the third time in five races that AlphaTauri return from a race empty-handed. The team is currently placed seventh in the standings, 24 points behind Alfa Romeo.
With P11 and P15, McLaren had yet another poor outing in Montreal. The result extends the team's run in Canada without points after last scoring in 2014.
Vettel Canada love affair over
Sebastian Vettel failed to score for the first time in Montreal, having done so in each of his previous 11 appearances in Canada.
Alfa Romeo back on form
Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou finished seventh and eighth in Canada, a result which marked a second double points finish of the season for the team.
This is the first time since 2019 that the Hinwil-based outfit has recorded two double top 10 finishes in a single season.
Zhou registered his second top-10 finish of the season having previously finished 10th in Bahrain, whilst Bottas secured his seventh score from nine races.
