Leclerc leads again as Mercedes show their hand: Italian GP FP2 Results
Charles Leclerc completed a clean sweep of Friday's practice sessions, as Mercedes focused on practising slipstream tactics that they hope may help them in Saturday's qualifying.
Valtteri Bottas towed Lewis Hamilton to within a tenth of Leclerc's leading time, although a rain shower between the two lap times were set make it difficult to draw too many conclusions.
One thing that is certain, however, is that Ferrari's expected strength is being realised and a dry qualifying should play into their hands, as long as they get their own tactics correct.
Track conditions were similar to the changeable characteristics that are expected come race day, giving teams useful data ahead of what could be a tricky Sunday.
