Schumacher looking to learn from 'harder times'
F2 hasn't been good to him this season.
Mick Schumacher has defiantly said that he will learn more from the “harder times” in his career than in the more successful moments, as he attempts to navigate his way through a tough Formula 2 campaign.
After seven events, Schumacher is down in 14th place in the F2 rankings, having yet to even claim as much as a podium spot despite winning the F3 championship with Prema Powerteam in 2018.
The 20-year-old has no doubt suffered personally as well as professionally, as his father Michael Schumacher remains under constant medical care after a skiing accident in 2013 which nearly cost him his life.
Mick says it is important to take stock during the more difficult times, however, as he references his current professional slump.
"No star has fallen from the sky," he told DPA news agency.
"Of course it has not been easy and we've had a bit of bad luck lately, but you learn the most from harder times.
"I think we're on the right track. We have shown that we have the speed and the potential to be at the front."

Schumacher insists it is normal for younger drivers to experience setbacks in their junior days, and remains hopeful he can one day perform in F1 like his father Michael did.
"Everyone has to go through hard times but I'm taking one step at a time," he continued.
"I feel more and more comfortable in this environment and hopefully it will soon be time for me to move up to Formula 1.
"When this happens is difficult to answer, as you also have to be lucky enough to get a vacant seat, so I'll keep going and keep my fingers crossed."
At the start of 2019, Schumacher was announced as a member of the Ferrari driver academy.
