Bottas completes first run in camouflaged Alfa Romeo

Team conducted a shakedown at Fiorano

Valtteri Bottas has turned a wheel for the first time with Alfa Romeo after ending his five-year association with Mercedes over the winter.

Alfa Romeo completed a successful shakedown of its new C42 at the Fiorano track in Italy, bedecked in a special grey-and-white camouflage livery.

Despite heavy rain, Bottas completed a number of system checks for his new team with whom he has taken on a lead role alongside rookie Guanyu Zhou.

Zhou was part of the team that looked on, alongside team principal Fred Vasseur and technical director Jan Monchaux.

The team has confirmed that with all preliminary tests completed, it will now continue its preparations for the first pre-season test at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya that runs from February 23-25.

Alfa Romeo is expected to continue to run the camouflage livery in Barcelona ahead of its official launch on February 27.
