Haas hoping to find "right way out" of rookie arguments - Schumacher
Mick Schumacher is hoping Haas can find the "right way out of" the growing acrimony between himself and team-mate Nikita Mazepin.
The relationship between the rookie drivers flared at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix when Mazepin squeezed Schumacher against a wall at top speed late in the race, sparking further incidents throughout the season.
At Zandvoort last weekend, their tempers culminated in a fiery outburst from Mazepin who felt he was wronged by Schumacher in qualifying.
Despite this being cleared up as a miscommunication, the pair then collided during the race in a similar incident to the one in Baku.
Mazepin has since revealed he is not in team principal Guenther Steiner's bad books and whilst aligning with the Russian's belief that discussions should remain private, Schumacher hopes for a remedy to the issues.
"I think that in this case, we are discussing internally," said Schumacher. "Everything has been said from each party and hopefully, we can find the right solution and the right way out of it."
On whether the rules of engagement have changed within the team, he added: "As of right now, I don't think so, so hopefully I will be able to race."
Schumacher: "Every situation is special"
Haas took the decision to halt development on this year's car before the season even began to focus on the 2022 project in the hope its fortunes can change in F1's new era.
Schumacher is hoping any discussions now will prevent distraction if the team is more competitive in the future.
"We have discussed it internally and I am quite keen on keeping it internally as well," reiterated Schumacher. "We will see the understanding we have taken within the team.
"Every situation is special and has to be assessed, however, now we are here at Monza and I think the right thing to do is to focus on here and try to do my best.
"Hopefully, whatever we have discussed now will then not be a worry at the moment we are more competitive."
