Vettel won't commit to F1 before 2021 details arrive
Sebastian Vettel says he will wait for Formula 1's 2021 regulation revamp to be confirmed before he commits his long-term future to the sport.
The four-time world champion has been fancifully linked with retirement, having expressed his dissatisfaction at modern F1, with grands prix often a battle of management rather than flat-out racing in recent years.
Perhaps adding to Vettel's frustrations have been his title-race defats to Lewis Hamilton in the past few seasons, with 2019 beginning with the German well off Mercedes' pace generally.
Closer racing has been a key promise in Liberty Media's planned regulation shake-up when the new Concorde Agreement comes into effect in two seasons' time, but Vettel says he is not yet jumping to conclusions.
Vettel said: "I still need to look at in a way that I say the cars are exciting, the formula is exciting.
