F1 fans pay last respects to Lauda

The last chance to say goodbye.

Fans have flocked to St Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna to pay their last respects to Niki Lauda. The three-time world champion will be buried on Wednesday after a funeral service in the Austrian capital, which saw huge crowds turn up to the church service.

The funeral service inside the church is restricted to close friends and family, however fans have been allowed a chance to see Lauda's casket to offer condolences.

Lauda was reportedly put into his iconic Ferrari race suit to be buried, while his famous red helmet was placed atop his coffin in the church.

Wet weather in Vienna could not deter fans and well-wishers, as hundreds, if not thousands, turned up to farewell the F1 legend.
