The FIA's World Motor Sport Council has approved changes to the 2023 technical regulations in order to tackle porpoising.

Floor edges will be raised by 15mm, along with changes to the diffuser profile, after discussions between teams and the Technical Advisory Committee.

Some believed the safety of drivers had to be taken care of whilst others insisted porpoising was becoming a thing of the past as teams moved through the development cycle.
