Mexico City GP: Confirmed starting grid with penalties applied

The starting grid for the Mexico City Grand Prix is very different compared to the finishing order of an enthralling qualifying session at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

Valtteri Bottas took a stunning pole position, with Lewis Hamilton completing a shock Mercedes front-row lockout for the first time this season, and a record 81st in F1.

Red Bull will look to recover from the second row, with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez lining up third and fourth, but behind the leading quartet, the grid is all change.

AlphaTauri's Yuki Tsunoda and Lando Norris in his McLaren both made the top 10 yet will fall to the back of the grid after power unit changes, as will Alpine's Esteban Ocon who reached Q2 for Alpine.

George Russell serves a five-place penalty after a gearbox change in his Williams, meaning a new-look lower order.

Lance Stroll lines up last in his Aston Martin after crashing in Q1. The Canadian was due to be at the back, regardless, following a PU change.
