Sergio Perez has wowed the Mexican public with a "crazy" Red Bull show run on the Mexico City streets ahead of his home race weekend.
After burning rubber and performing donuts in Sebastian Vettel's 2011 championship-winning RB7 for the first time in Dallas, Perez again took centre stage in his home country of Mexico.
Wearing a special race suit and helmet to mark the occasion, Perez sent the staggering 130,000-strong crowd into a frenzy with a series of high-speed blasts and smoke-billowing spins.
Once out of the car, the Mexican addressed his adoring fans whilst draped in the national flag.
“It feels amazing to be back here in Mexico City," said Perez. "I never really imagined a moment like this.
"I think, as an athlete and a driver, you always think about being on track making memories, but today was crazy, we took over Mexico City.
"It was such a special way to start my home grand prix weekend. Everyone was full of energy and the people have been amazing, even camping here since last night."
