Verstappen targeting a podium finish in every 2020 race
Max Verstappen says he is hoping to finish in the top three in every single race of the upcoming 2020 Formula 1 season, and reckons Red Bull are on the right track to do so.
He enjoyed the best season of his career in 2019, winning in Austria, Germany, and Brazil, as well as claiming his first ever pole position at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
With a new deal being recently announced which will see him stay with Red Bull through 2023, he remains confident the team can provide him with a car worthy enough to compete with Mercedes and Ferrari, which he wants to do at every event.

“As a team we want to be able to fight for the title, we want to do well," Verstappen told his official website.
"Time will tell, because at this moment it is very difficult to say where we stand compared to the competition. But of course we are doing everything to take that step forward.
"We are on the right track. I hope that we can go for a podium every race this year. Hopefully, things will get exciting on track. I am up for it and looking forward to it!”
The Dutchman believes that the team’s development in 2019 was an important building block moving forward, but knows they need to make another step up in quality this season.
“I do briefly look back, but not for too long. It was a good year, during which we made some progress. I see that as a natural process, because you get more experienced.
“2019 was positive, but now we want to make the next step.”
