Hamilton hails 'incredible' victory over Ferrari in Russia
Lewis Hamilton appeared truly delighted with Mercedes' one-two finish in Russia as he closes in on his sixth world championship.
A Ferrari miscalculation in their team strategy coupled with an early Sebastian Vettel retirement meant that Hamilton and his team-mate Valtteri Bottas were out in front for the second half of the race.
Charles Leclerc was left frustrated in third spot and a weekend which promised much for Ferrari proved to be another success for Mercedes as they close in on the driver and constructor championships.
Speaking to Paul Di Resta about his win after the race, Hamilton said: "An incredible job from all the guys here this weekend, pushing forward, trying to be innovative and never giving up.
"It's incredible to have this result today considering how quick they were off the start. Keeping up with them was an incredibly hard task.
"The car was really fantastic today and a big thank you to everyone here and everyone back at the factory.
When asked about whether he now had one eye on the driver's championship, Hamilton, in typical fashion, said he chose to I try not to think about the championship and think one race at a time.
"One foot in front of the other. Of course we need to keep putting performances like this in. This feels like a long time coming."
