Kubica sets new F1 record with German GP point

Robert Kubica's elevation into an unlikely point-paying position at the German Grand Prix saw the Pole set a new Formula 1 record along the way.

Lewis Hamilton and Kubica benefited to move into the top 10 after both Alfa Romeo cars were booted from the points after discrepancies were found in their starting set-ups.

Kubica scored Williams' first point of a difficult 2019 campaign as a result, as well as securing his first score since the 2010 Abu Dhabi GP.

With eight years, eight months and 14 days between F1 points scores, Kubica takes a new place in F1's record books!
