Was Verstappen really to blame for Hamilton Monza clash? - GPFans Stewards' Room Podcast

The latest edition of the GPFans Stewards' Room podcast is here with the team discussing all the action from the Italian Grand Prix.

GPFans editor-in-chief Ian Parkes, deputy editor Sam Hall and F1 correspondent Ewan Gale join Oliver Wilson for this week's roundtable.

McLaren scored its first win in 170 races and a first one-two since 2010 but the Monza race was completely overshadowed by the latest clash between title-rivals Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.

Listen to the takes of the GPFans Global team as they digest all the action from Monza.

You can listen to the GPFans podcast on the player at the top of this page as well as on most major podcast outlets.

Every racer has been in Max's situation on corner entry aimed at an enticingly vacant corner but about to be occupied by the car in front turning in. Diving into this "sucker hole" will always end badly, even fatally. A grid penalty is a soft let off for a really dumb and dangerous error - assuming that it was an "error."

Max knew exactly what he was doing, Red Bull know Max is to blame.

I find it absurd the idea that to make it simple for audience to follow that they should've not penalised Max and obliged Hamilton to leave space. If that were the case for the sake of consistency, they would've penalised Max on lap 1 . Not only that but you might as well get rid of the racing line rule.

You didn't like what they said, so the talk was poor?

What a pathetic way to try and win a championship, like a reckless brute with callous egotism. Kamikaze suicide driver has no business on the track but in the mental asylum. No true talent, wannabe weazle face and voice twerp. In many months to come, we will all find out they been cheating all along to get to this point. Sleazy weazle
