The high excitement for the Dutch Grand Prix's return in 2020 saw next year's event sell out almost immediately. Incredibly, it has also seen more than 10% of the 2021 events tickets sold too.

Zandvoort will host F1 for the first time in 35 years next season, with Liberty Media having pushed through a deal to bring the sport back to the Netherlands as they look to capitalise on Max Verstappen's soaring popularity in his home country.

With over a million applications believed to have been made for 2020 tickets, just 315,000 have been distributed for next year's event.

Incredibly, however, Dutch GP boss Jan Lammers says a good chunk of 2021's admissions have also been secured.

"There are really unprecedented things going on, such as the fact that we have already sold 35,000 tickets before 2021," Lammers told Formule 1. "That is really crazy, of course.

"There is the plan that, so to speak, we are sold out the following Monday after the race. Although we will know immediately on Monday what could be improved."

Improvements at Zandvoort are likely to be focused on infrastructure, with transport links to the seaside town likely to be heavily congested when F1 rolls into town.
