Raikkonen rages at 'sh*t' Monza outing
Kimi was not a happy man.
Kimi Raikkonen reflected on a "shit weekend" at the Italian Grand Prix wrecked by errors on the track and from the Alfa Romeo pit-wall.
Raikkonen twice crashed at Monza's famed Parabolica over the course of the weekend, including in Q3, which required a change of engine and gearbox, which necessitated a pit-lane start.
However, the comedy of errors was not done there as Alfa failed to recognise that Raikkonen had to start the race with the tyres he had used in Q2, having qualified for the top-10 shootout.
Starting the race on different tyres meant Raikkonen was hit with a 10-second stop-go penalty, and he eventually came home in 15th place, with just Haas' Romain Grosjean and the Williams of Robert Kubica behind him.
Asked to explain the circumstances which led to the penalty, Raikkonen said in typical fashion that "somebody fucked up somewhere".

Even Alfa Romeo's team release, often the safe haven of sanitised reaction, could not hide the Finn's fury.
It read: "Well that was a shit weekend.
"First my mistake in qualifying which unfortunately meant that we had to change gearbox.
"Then we decided to also change engine and start from the pitlane, but we had the wrong tyres on and with the penalty my race was more or less over. Looking forward to Singapore, as it can't get worse."
