Six drivers have taken grid penalties for the United States Grand Prix with a pair of late additions for Esteban Ocon and Yuki Tsunoda confirmed on Sunday.

Carlos Sainz scored his second pole position of the season with a sensational effort at the Circuit of the Americas to fend off the advances of team-mate Charles Leclerc and world champion Max Verstappen.

But Leclerc is one of the drivers to have been handed a grid penalty and drops 10 places to P12 as a result of fitting a new internal combustion engine and turbocharger.

With Sergio Perez, who qualified fourth, also dropping five places, the Mercedes pair of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have been promoted two spots to lock out the second row.

Lance Stroll enjoyed his strongest qualifying of the season and will line up fifth with Alex Albon, another notable performer, eighth for Williams.

Guanyu Zhou and Fernando Alonso both entered qualifying aware that they would drop five places but less than an hour before the final grid was confirmed, Tsunoda and Ocon both added to this number.

With the race coming up very soon, here is your final grid order...
