How F1 reacted to CRAZY two-lap sprint race in Baku
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix went from a relatively forgettable race to one of extreme excitement after Max Verstappen's Pirelli blowout led to a red-flag delay and a two-lap dash to the finish but how did the sport react to the chaos on social media?
Aside from Lance Stroll's midrace blowout, the majority of the 51-lap Baku race was a bland affair. The strategy game around the pit stops was, as ever, entertaining but it was the final sprint that will be remembered by fans...and Mercedes!
Lewis Hamilton had the lead for a brief moment before sliding into the run-off leaving Sergio Perez to score his first win for Red Bull, Sebastian Vettel to bag Aston Martin's first podium and Pierre Gasly again picked up the pieces for AlphaTauri.
Without further hesitation, let's take a look at some of these tweets!
