Ticktum misses F2 practice after an inconclusive Covid-19 test
Dan Ticktum has missed Formula 2 practice at the Belgian Grand Prix after returning an inconclusive Covid-19 test result.
Williams development driver Ticktum competes with the DAMS team in F2, and sits 10th in the standings with a single victory to his name in his rookie campaign.
For 2020, strict guidelines have been put in place that dictate all members of personnel must return a negative Covid-19 test prior to being granted access to the paddock.
As was the case for Racing Point driver Sergio Perez at Silverstone, Ticktum now awaits the result of a re-test.
Should the Briton return an inconclusive or positive result, he would take no part in the weekend and could possibly also miss the Italian Grand Prix weekend at Monza.
Ticktum's DAMS team-mate Sean Gelael had already been ruled out of the weekend after suffering a back injury after bouncing over the kerbs last time out in Spain.
The Indonesian was replaced with Red Bull junior team member Yuri Vips, the Estonian finishing fourth in F3 last year.
