Lewis Hamilton's bid to claim a record eighth F1 world title has faltered at the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend, with the British superstar falling further behind in the standings.

The 41-year-old Ferrari superstar could only finish P7 in Saturday's sprint race after a miserable qualifying session on Friday. That allowed championship leader Kimi Antonelli (P4) to extend his lead at the head of the points table to 53 points.

Hamilton could then only manage P4 in Sunday's Dutch Grand Prix, with Antonelli stretching his lead out further to 59 points. With his P3 finish, George Russell is now also tied with Hamilton on 183 points.

Lando Norris, meanwhile, sits fourth in the standings after his victory on Sunday, now trailing championship leader Antonelli by 83 points.
