Mercedes to launch 2021 car on March 2
Mercedes has announced it will launch its 2021 car on March 2 in a digital event.
The constructors' champion is the third team to announce its official launch date after Alfa Romeo, who will reveal the C41 on February 22, and McLaren with its MCL35M on February 15.
The new challenger will be called the W12 E Performance, linking the motorsport efforts to the road car division of the German manufacturer, with the same moniker given to the all-hybrid vehicles produced by the company.
Lewis Hamilton is yet to officially extend his contract with the team for this season, although the seven-time champion is expected to partner Valterri Bottas for the fifth year as the team aims to take its eighth consecutive championship.
