Ecclestone to be father again at 89-years-old

Bernie Ecclestone and wife Fabiana Flosi have revealed that they are expecting their first child together, with the former F1 supremo set to become a father again for the fourth time, this time at 89.

The Brit has been married on three occasions and has three daughters - Deborah aged 65, Tamara aged 35, and Petra aged 31.

In 2021 he wed Vice-President of Marketing for the Brazilian Grand Prix, Flosi, who is 47 years his junior. Now, after having three daughters, he is set to father a boy for the first time.

"Finally a boy! Yes, it will happen in the summer. Hopefully he'll soon learn to play backgammon,” he told reporters in Brazil.

Ecclestone sold F1 to Liberty Media a few years ago, and has joked that he has since had a lot of time for extra curricular activities, such as conceiving with his wife.

"After my time in Formula 1, we've had enough time to practice," he joked.

"Without humor and fun you wouldn't last long these days. I just want it to be good for Fabiana, even in this apparently longer isolation.

"Fortunately, we never run out of work on the farm."

One thing is clear, however, the young boy’s mother won’t be encouraging him to participate in F1 to any degree, as she said:

"Hopefully he will never express the intention to do something with Formula 1."
