Nico Rosberg is the new investor for 'Dragons' Den'

A new venture for the 2016 world champion!

Nico Rosberg will be an investor on the next series of 'The Lion's Den' – Germany's version of the popular TV show Dragons' Den.

The show revolves around entrepreneurs pitching business ideas to successful tycoons, looking for investments in return for a stake in the new businesses.

Rosberg's eye for business has been clear since retiring from F1, with the 2016 world champion often sharing his ventures into the world of sustainable technology.

He is also a minority shareholder in the Formula E racing series.

"Dedication, courage and the absolute will to win have brought me to the top in Formula One. These qualities are not only in demand on the racetrack, but also in start-ups," said Rosberg:

"As a new lion, I am looking forward to most of all to support exciting founders, to lead sustainable ideas to success. Whoever loves the competition and wants to be the best in their field is right with me."

Rosberg will appear on the show next year.
