Verstappen fears Ferrari in Mexico
Max Verstappen is pessimistic ahead of the Mexican Grand Prix, despite having won at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in each of the last two years.
The Red Bull star has taken to the top step of the podium, with his celebrations added to by Lewis Hamilton celebrating title success each time.
The same combination could be on the cards again this week, with Hamilton able to secure the championship if he outscores Valtteri Bottas by 14 points.
However, Verstappen has already suggested that he does not expect Red Bull to win another race this season and he believes Ferrari's current pace advantage will prove difficult to overcome in Mexico.
Verstappen said: "I'm looking forward to going back to Mexico as the last two years have been pretty special there with the two wins.
"The Mexican Grand Prix is a great event and the fans are very passionate about Formula One.
"There are massive crowds at the race and the atmosphere at the track with the mariachi bands, the DJ's on the podium and everything else the organisers put on is pretty cool.
"I really enjoy driving there as well as the track is very different as it's at high altitude which makes it low grip.
"The corners are also very technical so you have to work hard to make sure you get the best out of it but it's a good track for us normally.
"I expect it to be a little bit more difficult this year because of the Ferrari pace but I think we can still have a very good race."
