British Grand Prix Weather Forecast: Advantage Mercedes at Silverstone?

Mercedes were undone at the Austrian Grand Prix by the searing heat in the Styrian Mountains, but glances at the forecast will lift the Silver Arrows' mood ahead of the British Grand Prix.

The champions' dominant run of 10-consecutive race wins was halted one short of McLaren's all-time record in Spielberg as Max Verstappen edged Charles Leclerc for a second Red Bull home win in as many years.

Mercedes saw a run of five-straight wins at Silverstone ended by Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel last year, but cooler conditions and their previous form of 2019 should see Mercedes arrive with confidence this week.

There is little threat of rain from the skies, which will also aid the teams' plans and calm those who are camping at Silverstone alike!
