Having a grand time, by the looks!

It worked well enough for him last year, so Lewis Hamilton may be hoping that a trip to the Coachella Music Festival can inspire him to success at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. With a weekend free of F1 commitments, Hamilton headed to California to check out the festivities.

The Formula 1 world champion was in the company of Miles Chamley-Watson, a British-born American world champion in fencing.

Posting to Instagram on Friday, Hamilton shared clips of himself and Chamley-Watson heading to the festival site, as well as checkout out Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin's set.

Hamilton was not the only familiar F1 face to make the trip over to California.

Daniel Ricciardo also shared a snap on Instagram from the festival, having attended with Australian house producer Fisher.
