Mazepin on Mick Schumacher: His results speak for themselves...

Nikita Mazepin has provided a withering take on his former Haas team-mate Mick Schumacher's 2022 season so far.

The Russian spent 2021 at Haas along with Schumacher, providing some of the most memorable moments in the latest series of 'Drive To Survive' in the process.

Mazepin's contract was cancelled in early 2022 as part of F1's response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but the 23-year-old clearly keeps one eye on what is happening at his former team.

Mazepin's verdict on Mick

Schumacher has endured a miserable campaign so far, failing to score a single point. When asked about the German's performances by Russian media outlet Le Championat, Mazepin's response was brutal.

He said quite simply: "Mick? His results speak for themselves - there is nothing to add."

Mazepin went on to speak about his relationship with Haas since his departure, bemoaning the lack of contact from team members.

Despite the current political situation, he still holds out hope that his career at the top level is not over.

He explained: "I don't want to complain. I have a wonderful family, 23 years old and I hope my sports career is still far from ending."
