F1 drivers' penalty points: Who is close to a ban?
After a penalty-free start in Bahrain, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix saw the first points doled out this season.
Sergio Perez, carrying over his penalty points from last year, added another one to his tally. With a total of 8 points, he remains the most penalised driver. Perez won't have a clean record until March of next year.
The Saudi Arabian race also saw Kevin Magnussen pick up three penalty points for causing a collision with Alexander Albon.

Penalty points explained
Alongside time penalties, driving infringements also carry penalty points to ensure driving standards are maintained.
These points expire after 12 months have elapsed but will result in a race ban should 12 points be accrued during this period.
GPFans has compiled a list of the points currently accrued by drivers and when they will expire. This article will be updated throughout the year.
