Williams launch new car - first images

The Williams FW43B launch was disrupted by hackers

Williams has revealed its 2021 challenger as the covers were taken off the FW43B.

The launch was due to take place via an app that would have delivered a futuristic augmented reality experience for fans to be able to project the image of the car into their own homes. But that had to be abandoned after the app was hacked.

The Grove-based team enters its first full season under the ownership of Dorilton Captial, hoping to build on last year's progression towards the back of the midfield.

Williams is the ninth team to unveil its car for the upcoming season, with only Ferrari left to unveil its machinery on March 10, two days ahead of the pre-season test in Bahrain.

British driver George Russell enters the final year of his Williams contract alongside Canadian Nicholas Latifi as the duo aim to score the outfit's first points since the 2019 German Grand Prix.
