Button leads calls for "life ban" for karting "idiots"
Clips of petulant Luca Corberi went viral on Sunday
Jenson Button has called for both driver Luca Corberi and his father to be banned from motorsport for life after a brawl broke out at the FIA Karting world championship event in Italy.
In an off-screen incident, 23-year-old Corberi was knocked out of the race by Paolo Ippolito, but rather than accept his fate, Corberi took matters into his own hands.
Ignoring the calls of officials to get behind the barriers, Corberi picked up his bumper, walked to the edge of the circuit and threw it in the direction of his rival when the field passed.
Corberi then proceeded to walk across the facility, crossing the track numerous times, to return to the paddock where, after the race he was involved in an all-out brawl with Ippolito.
To make matters worse, Corberi's father, the owner of the Lonato circuit on which the event was being run, physically slammed Ippolito into the paddock fencing.
GPFans understands the FIA will take action against those involved with FIA karting president Felipe Massa, who was in attendance at Lonato, likely to take a lead.
"Luca Corberi just destroyed any chance he had at a racing career after his disgusting behaviour at the FIA World champs," wrote 2009 F1 world champion Button on social media.
"His father owns the circuit and is seen power driving the guy into a wall. Life ban for both these idiots please."

Button shared amateur video footage of the paddock brawl and was not alone in his condemning of the incident, with McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown sharing the post and stating "I totally agree with Jenson."
Former F1 driver Giedo van der Garde, who now manages numerous young drivers, wrote: "I teach the kids I manage that respect should always be in mind when racing.
"I've been swearing a lot in my car with my helmet on, but you always should keep your calmness.
"This is an example of how not to be a driver. Truly unacceptable, should be banned for a very, very long time."
