Brawn: Formula 1 can expect a recovery within "six months"

Formula 1 managing director motorsports Ross Brawn has said that Formula 1 will be "in a great place" in six months time.

The Grand Prix season has yet to begin in 2020 due to the global lockdown, but Brawn is predicting a swift return to the good times.

Speaking after being voted F1's best technical director by Autosport readers, Brawn said: "I think these very difficult times we're facing at the moment. It's great to remember the fantastic times that we've had in Formula 1, and indeed the fantastic times we're going to have in the future.

"And it gives us inspiration to find our way through these difficult times. F1 was in a great place six months ago, and it's going to be in a great place in another six months."

Formula 1 remain confident that a 15-18 race season is possible, and GPFans expect a provisional calendar to be released in the coming days.
