The Monaco Grand Prix stewards took no further action on Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton after their collision in the closing stages of a thrilling race. Max tried to make a move coming out of the tunnel and bumped the back-end of Hamilton, who firmly shut the door.

Verstappen had spent numerous laps all over the rear-end of the world champion, who was fighting for grip on worn-out medium tyres.

The Dutchman needed to make a pass as he had been given a five-second time penalty for an unsafe release in the pit-lance which led to contact with Valtteri Bottas.

Contact didn't cause damage to either Verstappen or Hamilton, perhaps influencing the stewards' inaction.
