Lights Out: Ricciardo shouldn't leave, Mercedes is crisis
Christian Horner believes that Daniel Ricciardo should stay put at Red Bull, while Jacques Villeneueve reckons that Mercedes and Lewis Hamiltion are in crisis. Max Verstappen has been urged to calm down by his dad, with Niki Lauda also having a pop. It's Lights Out for Wednesday morning!
MUST READ
The Red Bull team principal, Horner, thinks that Ricciardo should stay with Red Bull as they will absolutely treat him as their number one driver going forward... apart from Verstappen. The grass won't be greener at Ferrari. Look at how miserable Kimi Raikkonen always is!
According to Martin Brundle of Sky Sports, the grass is infact greener at the Scuderia, as he has tipped the Honey Badger to move either to Ferrari or to replace Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes at the end of the season. At this rate, we are going to need five Ricciardos.
Hamilton might not mind being replaced, at least going by the opinion of Villeneuve. The former F1 champ thinks Hamilton and Mercedes are "in crisis". Does someone want to whisper to him that the Silver Arrows are top of the constructor rankings?
Verstappen must be wondering where he needs to go to get away from criticism about his performance during the Chinese Grand Prix where he smashed into Sebastian Vettel, It seems he can't even get peace round at the family home as his father has urged him to "think more" on the track. Youngsters these days, eh?
The always positive (?!) Fernando Alonso reckons that McLaren can take some heart from the performance of Red Bull because they share the same engine manufacturer in Renault. He has given his team a 'must do better' grade for their drive in Shanghai, though.
Lance Stroll has claimed that he got "everything" out of his Williams car in China. This is probably bad news for the team as he still has no points while Williams are the only team not to post a point in the constructor rankings. If that is everything - oh dear.
