Red Bull add 14-year-old American Jak Crawford to their junior ranks

The Red Bull junior lineup for 2020 has been completed with the addition of American teenager Jak Crawford.

The Red Bull Junior Team had developed over a quarter of the drivers currently in Formula One seats and, as such, being a part of the exclusive program instantly boost a driver's profile.

The breakthrough star of the program in 2019 was arguably Estonian Juri Vips. Constantly racing at the front in F3 and taking three race wins, Vips has chosen to move to Super Formula in Japan instead of F2 for the coming season with most of the top seats having already been spoken for.

Alongside Vips, Red Bull have retained Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda (F2), New Zealander Liam Lawson (F3), Norwegian Dennis Hauger, Australian Jack Doohan (F3) and British driver Jonny Edgar(ADAC F4/Italian F4).

Crawford won his place with the Red Bull junior team after impressing in a test at the Red Bull Ring in Austria where he is believed to have set near identical times to Edgar.

Having raced only in the U.S. and Mexico, the American will compete alongside Edgar at Van Amersfoort Racing in both ADAC Formula 4 and Italian F4 across 2020 in his first taste of European racing.
