Albon, Ricciardo, Sainz and more grid penalties confirmed

Busy day for the stewards!

Six grid penalties have been confirmed for the Belgian Grand Prix, with Alexander Albon, Daniel Ricciardo, Nico Hulkenberg, Carlos Sainz, Daniil Kvyat and Lance Stroll affected.

Albon, Kvyat and Stroll will start Sunday's race from the back of the grid after taking on entirely new power units.

It will take a modicum of pressure off Albon on his Red Bull debut, perhaps giving him the chance to cut through the field and pull off some confidence-boosting overtakes.

The Thai driver has form for such performances this year, having secured a point from a pit-lane start at the Chinese Grand Prix.

Ricciardo, Hulkenberg and Sainz will serve five-place grid penalties for taking on new Internal Combustion Engines each.
