Renault offer update on driver of crashed team truck

Renault have confirmed that the driver of a team truck that crashed en route to the Hungarian Grand Prix has returned home after being released from hospital.

The driver was described by Renault as "driving within the respected regulations" in the single-vehicle incident.

Images of the truck straddled over a motorway barrier were quickly shared on social media. The driver thankfully avoided serious injury.

Renault also confirmed that the goods being carried by the truck had not been damaged and have already made it to the Hungaroring, where the French marque are looking to improve on a double DNF in Germany last time out.
