Magnussen set for Austria grid penalty
Kevin Magnussen is set to receive a five-place grid penalty at the Austrian Grand Prix, after Haas were forced to make a last-gasp gearbox change before qualifying.
Magnussen's running in Saturday's practice session was cut short, with Haas suspecting an oil leak.
When he returned to the garage, it was decided a gearbox change was required. As it is out of the six-race sequence permitted by the FIA, he will drop five places after qualifying.
The Dane is not the only driver facing penalties at the Red Bull Ring.
Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon will start from the back of the grid due to engine changes, while a new ICE will demote Nico Hulkenberg five spots from his qualifying position.
