Mick Schumacher's feature race in France failed to get through a single lap as the German was wiped out in a huge crash with his Prema team-mate Sean Gelael. Gelael locked up on the opening lap and smashed into his team-mate, sending Schumacher airborne.
Schumacher tried to limp back to the pits, but he suffered significant floor damage and had to retire.
"It was quite a fly i guess," he said "I just saw more of the track than I wanted to be honest.
"The car went airborne quite a bit and then obviously the tyre was destroying the floor and that's why we couldn't continue, otherwise I think we could have kept going. Really unfortunate."
Rule one of motor racing... 😭
