Vettel: Poor Ferrari 'management' costly at Spa
Sebastian Vettel admitted Ferrari's "management" of a chaotic qualifying session for the Belgian Grand Prix cost him a pole position as he took second place behind Lewis Hamilton at Spa-Francorchamps. For a third race in a row, wet conditions put paid to Vettel's hopes, with Hamilton the beneficiary.
Vettel crashed out of the lead in Germany and struggled in a wet qualifying in Hungary - Hamilton winning both times as a result - and the Ferrari man once again saw the potential of his Ferrari stunted by the weather in Belgium.
Ferrari had topped all three practice sessions as well as Q1 and Q2 in the dry, but a downpour at the start of Q3 gave way to a hectic session that ended with Hamilton on top and the Force India pair of Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez in third and fourth.

Kimi Raikkonen was not on-track for the quickest conditions as he was under-fuelled and Vettel also struggled through traffic, as he was unable to get the better of his rival, who may now hope to extend a 24-point lead atop the standings.
"It's not rain, it's not dry, it's something in between," he says. "I knew all of the laps don't matter apart from the last one.
"It was a bit chaotic and not great from a management point of view. I don't feel we put everything together in the last lap, we ran out of battery.
"It wasn't a nice ending to a great qualifying up to that point. It's great fun but obviously not very rewarding when you know you could have done a bit better.
"It was just not as calm as I think it could have been. It didn't feel as if I got everything out for various reasons, therefore it was a bit of a scrappy session.
"But it can be a lot worse."
