Hungarian Grand Prix Starting Grid

Pole number six at the Hungarian Grand Prix, and 77 overall, arrived for Lewis Hamilton on Saturday as Mercedes mastered the wet conditions to secure a one-two start from the grid ahead of the struggling Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel.

If dry conditions return for Sunday's race, it could play back into the Scuderia's hands as they have clearly held an advantage over Mercedes previously.

However, a good start will be key, with track position ruling at the tight and twisting Hungaroring.

That will only compound Red Bull's frustrations after Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo qualified seventh and 12th respectively - the Dutchman complaining that their high-downforce car only got worse in the wet stuff.

Force India are also somewhat displaced with Sergio Perez and Esteban Ocon starting towards the back on the weekend their team was put into administration.

At the other end of the spectrum, Toro Rosso start both cars in the top 10 for the first time this season and will hope to bank big points.
